The mobile games market is growing by the minute, and it’s not just iOS users that are getting in on the fun. The Google Play store is packed with apps to download from endless runners to first-person shooters to even mobile MMOs. But with so many games to choose from, picking out the good ones can get a little overwhelming. You don’t want to get stuck with a game you don’t want, after all.

GTA Vice City
Vice City is your best ticket to playing a 3D GTA game on your phone. The game follows the story of gangster Tommy Vercetti, who travels to the Miami-inspired Vice City to become the city’s crime lord.

Game Dev Story
Game Dev Story puts you at the helm of your very own video game studio, and gives you the challenge of creating profitable games that are fun to play. Like any start-up indie developer, you’ll need to manage your staff wisely: train the ones you've got to improve their skills, or fire the incompetent ones and hire a team of all-stars.

Temple Run
If you’re an archaeologist and angry natives are chasing after you, all you can really do is run away, right? That’s the premise of Temple Run, an endless runner that has you swiping your screen left and right to navigate your hapless hero through certain doom.

Triple Town
In Triple Town three tiles of grass make a bush, three bushes make a tree, and three trees make a hut. Three is the magic number, and since you’re trying to build the biggest town possible, you’ll need a lot more than a few huts on your grid to increase your population.

Robot Unicorn Attack 2
Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is absurd, but its absurdity is what makes it so good. This endless runner lets you play as a robot unicorn that must gallop through strange worlds where narwhals float in the sky and dolphins surf on invisible waves. In order to avoid exploding, you need to time your jumps and know when to dash through enemies or star pillars that stand in your way. Timing is important, but so is collecting currency and fairies that power you up and allow you to customize your robot’s controls and abilities.

Tiny Thief
Tiny Thief blends puzzle-solving with stealth mechanics to deliver a vivid game that’s easy to play but one that offers classic Rovio challenges to keep you playing it past the credits. Your objective is to make your way to each stage’s treasure and carefully sneak away with it undetected.

Heroes of Order & Chaos
Heroes of Order & Chaos is a game that shows that the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre doesn’t have to be confined to a computer. The game offers what you’d expect from a free-to-play MOBA, and includes plenty of different characters to choose from that range in powers and abilities. Your goal in each match is to combine forces with two other teammates and destroy the enemy’s defense towers and base while ensuring yours stay protected.

Jetpack Joyride
As its name states, Jetpack Joyride lets you float endlessly on your handy jetpack through an underground complex full of danger, obstacles, and lots and lots of coins. As with all mobile runners, your main objective is to stay alive for as long as possible, and even if you get hit and fall off your jetpack, you still have a chance to survive on foot if you’re good enough.

Angry Birds Seasons
Ah, Angry Birds--the game that made it fun to fling birds at green pigs and watch their houses topple over. Angry Birds Season continues this avian-bovine rivalry and also features some of the best puzzles the series has offered to date. Plus, its themed levels that let you experience the seasons and major holidays like Halloween and Christmas add some flair to the experience and come with their own ingenious puzzle designs.
